Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Lisa's Chaos is our hostess for Fun Monday this week, and she's told us to ask you a question.  Specifically:
What is one thing you would like to ask your readers? Come up with a question to pose to your visitors and throw it out there on Monday. As we’re all visiting each other’s Fun Monday posts we should answer the various questions we come across.
OR
Show&Tell me about a bird, I’m easily made happy.

Wow, that sounds so (deceptively) simple. A question for you? What do I want my hundres, tons few readers to tell me?

What is your favorite memory about kindergarten (or your first year of school)? This is in honor of my baby boy, My Monster, starting Kindergarten this week.

I remember two things...my teacher had long red hair, and everyone wanted her as their teacher. And we had these blow up letters to teach us the alphabet, and they were characters. I still remember that B was Mr. Buttons.

Make sure you visit (and answer) all the Fun Monday participants!

favorite thing about kindergarten huh? umm well i only have a few memories i wouldnt say they are my favorites, but i will tell you that i already knew how to read so i was thoroughly annoyed that it took everyone else so long to get on with it, and second, its more of a sad thing, the teacher wanted us to TRACE circles with numbers in them because the ditto machine wasn't keeping up very well, but i didnt know what tracing was, so i thought she meant to connect them in order from 1-10 and i did that and she told me i was wrong, in a nice way, but i cried because i felt stupid. sorry. it was the 80s and I was 5.

I remember being in the coat room and my friend gave me a kiss. Up until that point I had thought she was a boy. I still wasn't even sure what the difference was supposed to be.

My favorite memory of nursery school was my dad dropping us off in his squad car with cherries flashing.

A memory from Kindergarten? i can't even remember yesterday!

The only thing i remember (honestly) is a boy dumping a toy dump truck full of sand over my head in the sandbox.

Not that great to be passing on, but it is the truth!

There was a small room between the two kindergarten classrooms and it was full of wooden blocks of all different sizes. Thousands of different shaped wooden blocks stacked his and wide. I loved that room. We used to build everything from castles to roads to chairs and tables that we could actually sit on and use.
I went to kindergarten in 1970 and I remember the teacher telling me that it was a bit 'odd' that I liked playing with the blocks so much and told me that I should play with the other girls more.

There used to be a big playhouse in the playground at recess, and I used to think of it as the coolest place! That and they sold sno-cones...something my mom never let me have, so I snuck them at school. I loved the sweet taste of them...and I remember exactly what the playground looked like the first day I ate one!

I don't remember much of ANYTHING before the age of 9. It's all just one big, happy blur.

That was so long ago but I do remember first grade--no kindergarten then--and having to start out with learning cursive writing. No printing for us. Make a pig's tail for "e". And, just to emphasize how long ago--I was a leftie, but not allowed to write with my left hand--writing must be done with the right hand!

You do want me to age myself, don't you. I remember our nap time. :) But I also remember our class photo and all of us girls were wearing "granny dresses", the long dresses that go clear to your ankles, but in 1972 they were in style. :)

The only thing I remember about Kindergarten was getting chicken pox the week of Halloween and missing the party!

We didn't have kindergarten in the two room country school I attended.
But, I do remember first grade and burning my hand on the wood stove. I still have the scar.

I remember having a stove in the middle of the room for heat and having to go to the toilets at the bottom of the playground.

Hi, sorry I am so late.
My favourite memory from Nursery (which I think is similar to Kindergarten. Kids are there from aged 3 to almost 5) is that my Nursery teacher was called Miss Leach, but I thought it was all one word and that her name was Misleach. She was lovely and it makes me smile that I thought that was her name.
