Linky love and Random Thoughts...

  • I posted a new giveaway over at my review blog.  Seriously, you could win!  Odds are good!
  • I tweeted about a real estate agent carrying her dog while showing houses on House Hunters last night.  I now have around 10 new followers, all Real Estate Agents.  I'm not looking for a house...Seriously.
  • We're going to see Brittany Spears Saturday Sunday (we being my girls, my sil and I).  I'm not sure how I feel about this, other than thank goodness they were free tickets or we wouldn't be going.  We are also going to Ikea, which I have never been to.  I'm excited about that!
  • My husband is coming home in the next 60 days.  At last.  And we go to Disney just after that.  YAY!
  • I forgot to adjust my alarm for school time, then slept through it when it did go off.  That meant that I woke up as we were supposed to be leaving the house.  I still managed to get everyone to school on time, and I am showered and dressed appropriately.  I had to buy lunch, and I was 30 min late, but all in all I'm good.

I'm over at my new digs, too!

I started a review blog...why? Because sometime I want to post about some cool things, and I don't want to have to worry about my Blogher ads contract...and why not? Come on over and check it out!

Noodle Net...safeguarding your computer from the real threats!

Looking for a nice piece of software to help you manage your kids computer?  I've found and fell in love with Noodle Net. It's $40.00 for a year subscription, but you can get a 30 day trial for free. You log into it, and it locks your children out of everything except those sites and programs you approve. No more of them messing around on the desktop and diconnecting your wireless, or changing the font. You approve programs and websites and that's what they have access to.  There's also a timer feature that locks them out after a certain time limit is reached.  You just have to remember your password. My 5 year old loves it, because he doesn't need any help getting to the sites he's allowed to be on. It comes loaded with some kid friendly sites already, and it's very easy to add more to it.  You can have several accounts, and you assign each child a symbol as well as there name, so it's easy for the younger ones to use.

This is not a paid review.  This is just a product that I found and liked.

Yummy fall goodness...Pumpkin Praline Muffins

I baked these yummy good muffins last night.  They are the best I've ever had, and not too terribly bad for you.  Recipe came from Family Fun magazine last year, and you can find it here.  Not only did PB choose to use these as her "birthday cake" for her friend birthday last year, but people who hate Pumpkin still love these.  They taste like fall...and one tastes like another.  Enjoy!

Who?

We went to see Horton Hears A Who today. What a great movie. Just a touch of the old school Dr. Seuss animation, and just a few things for the adults. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see 10 minutes of the last 15 minutes, so I missed the climatic part and just saw the happy ending. But it was still good. I do not like our movie theater though. They are the only one in town, and they know it, so customer service is non-existent. And the bathrooms are far away from a lot of the theaters.

But the movie was good. You should go see it.

Now for some adult time with my hubby.

I pink puffy heart...

I've recently discovered a fondness for purses...I'm very picky about the pockets and such, but a good purse that looks really cute is my second favorite accessory (jewelry is my first.) I also love office supplies and organizers. So imagine my joy when I found out Franklin Covey is selling totes. Yes, I know, contain your excitement for a minute.

It could be just me, but I think this is the best. I may have to order it. I can't get the inside picture to post large enough, but it's a beautiful green, with the perfect pockets. Gorgeous. And useful. And on clearance.
